Glen Burnie is small but big at the same time, everyone knows almost everyone! There is plenty of events that brings everyone together which is my favorite part!

I have grown up in Glen Burnie and feel that it is a family friendly place to live and raise a family. The schools are wonderful and Glen Burnie is a great location, centralized to Columbia, Annapolis and Baltimore. Very close to all of the majors stores, e.g. Walmart, Target, Giant Food, Arundel Mills Mall.

It's an ok place to live. The schools are not very good. They award a 50% grade if a student turns in a blank assignment.

The biggest change that needs to happen in Glen Burnie in my opinion is infrastructure. The amount of pot holes in the road and lack of newer buildings takes away the beauty of glen burnie. The city also isn’t walkable. I do like how many family owned business are in the area though.

I like the diversity of Glen Burnie and the amount of churches, shops and restaurants in the area. I would like to see the area cleaned up, and less ran down in some areas.

Due to Glen Burnie being so large, certain areas are safe while others can be very dangerous. So just be careful on where you go.

There are a lot of small businesses that are a must-visit, including some of my favorite restaurants. I would like to see some improvement in the existing infrastructure and a lower crime rate.

This city is unorganized and traffic filled. I would love to see a change with the peoples behaviors along with the control of traffic.

I think Glen Burnie has a lot to offer with many shops and places to eat as well as activities. The only issue is a lot of people do not take care of this area so it becomes not always pretty. Overall it's not too bad though.

Glen Burnie is a fairly decent place to live with lots of near-by shopping & entertainment. It is just 15 minutes from Arundel Mills mall. Elementary, middle, and the high school are close to residential areas so many students walk to school. The school I work at is very dedicated to taking care of its students and making sure everyone has equal access to learning and a safe environment.

I like the school in our community but the community itself could be better taken care of. Along with that, there are many homeless and people of need that I feel the community could find ways to contribute to help them.

The area of Glen Burnie, that I live in is fairly nice. It’s a little bit out of the way from shopping, but that’s the way that I like it. Other parts of Glenburnie are right next to good shopping areas. When looking into this area be careful of some of the Less reputable areas. Overall, I have had no complaints in the over four years that I have lived here.

Glen Burnie has its ups and downs. I love how centralized the location is and that I have easy access to just about everything I’d ever need, but other times there’s a lot of hassle with living in this area. Living near a hospital has it’s serious draw backs.

I really like the central location of Glen Burnie. It's right in the middle of everything. Our neighborhood is friendly and quiet and there's plenty of shopping options within a very short distance.

I lived in this city majority of my life. Ever since my family and I moved to the states from South Korea.
Over the past 20+years, there have been alot of improvements such as hospitals, roads, constructions, new neighborhoods, etc. Even a new Middle school building to seperate 1 Building that has 2 middle school and 1 high school combined! Anne arundel County in general is very big, but constantly making improvements.
It is far from being a best city in the nation, however the cost of living, and the area in general is much better than other places in my opinion. Need for improvements are safety. Although there are police patrolling, the county is so big that safety is not always guarenteed. Especially being that Baltimore city, one of the nation's dangerous city is connected to Glen Burnie!

I have grown up here. I am now 28. It has never felt like home. My parents live here. I went to the schools and received average education. The social life is horrendous. I legit made no friends here because no one talks to you. I go to Baltimore and everyone is friendly. I even lived up west in Frostburg for some time and was well received. This location has shady people. All the jobs are located in surrounding areas like Baltimore or Annapolis. The apartments aren't that great because the walls are either thin or the neighbors are strange people who make you feel unsafe. The train station is littered with drug users and cops. When I moved back here to be closer to work and family, things went down hill. I am now graciously planning my escape to move out of state based on the cold and unwelcoming nature of glen burnie. Do yourself a favor and live in the next town or county if you are single or a family looking to make friends or date.
